Both Pune and Nashik are the twin cities that lie on the lee side of the Western Ghats due to which, they generally do not see a lot of weather conditions. However, there are temperature fluctuations seen over these areas, which are the main highlight of these locations.
During winters, there are days when both the places dip down to single digit minimums, but such a situation does not last for very long. The last time such weather was seen was during the month of January.
All this activity is linked with the weather activity and the wind flow in the northern parts. At the moment, the minimum temperatures are a little above the normal levels over these places but then, we now expect them to drop, and there is a possibility that they may even drop to single digit in the coming days after February 11.
The reduction in temperatures will be attributed to the passage of the Western Disturbance, which will alter the wind pattern and flow, along with the anti-cyclone shifting to its normal position. Such conditions will continue for a few days and around February 15, when another Western Disturbance will approach and temperatures will once again increase.
