Despite the arrival of Monsoon, rains have remained almost absent from Delhi and NCR area. During the last 24 hours as well, the region has observed dry weather conditions. The residents experienced a very warm day followed by a comfortable night. All these conditions were coupled with high humidity levels and cloudy sky conditions.
According to Skymet Weather, a feeble Western Disturbance is moving across higher latitudes of North Jammu and Kashmir. This system has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over the central parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab. A Trough is also extending from Northwest Rajasthan up to Northwest Bay of Bengal across North Rajasthan, South Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Another Cyclonic Circulation is lying over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of South Uttar Pradesh.
In the wake of all these systems, the weather in Delhi and NCR will remain very warm and humid with cloudy sky conditions during the next 24 hours. However, the chances of light rain and thundershowers for a short period at isolated places cannot be ruled out.
Further, these conditions are expected to continue for the next 36 to 48 hours. Thereafter, Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad may start experiencing a good spell of rain and thundershower activities.
