Minimum temperatures of Telangana have been on a fall since the last few days due to penetration of cold winds from north and northeastern direction. Today, many northern and central districts of the state of Telangana have witnessed a drop of two to three degrees Celsius.

In fact, Adilabad saw a drop of temperatures by about six degrees Celsius. Adilabad saw a drop in temperatures from 13.7 to 7.8 degrees Celsius, a drop of six degrees Celsius. Therefore, now we expect that temperatures of Telangana may fall further, and some parts of the state may observe Cold Wave like conditions.

Minimum temperatures may fall further by 3 to 5 degrees or Celsius. Cold Wave conditions are declared when minimums are recorded below 10 degrees Celsius and are at least five to six degrees below the normal levels.

Marginal drop in temperatures may continue for two to three days until January 11. Thereafter, temperatures are expected to once again start rising due to reversal of winds from northeast to southeast.

Southeasterly winds will come from Bay of Bengal which will be warm and humid in nature due to which temperatures will rise and winter chill will bid adieu.
