Conditions are becoming favourable for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into more parts of the central Arabian Sea, the entire Goa region, parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, more areas of Karnataka, the remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, southwest Bay of Bengal, and parts of west-central, east-central and northeast Bay of Bengal during the next two to three days. The monsoon is also expected to advance into more areas of the northeastern states during this period.

A Western Disturbance is persisting as a cyclonic circulation over Pakistan and adjoining areas between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level.

An induced cyclonic circulation lies over central Pakistan and adjoining areas.

A trough extends from the cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan to the northeast Arabian Sea at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Another cyclonic circulation is present over north Haryana between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level.

A cyclonic circulation persists over east Uttar Pradesh and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

One more cyclonic circulation is positioned over southeast Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat at 3.1 km above mean sea level.

A trough extends from Marathwada to the southwest Arabian Sea across Konkan and Goa at 5.8 km above mean sea level.

Weather Activities During The Last 24 Hours

During the last 24 hours, heavy rainfall occurred over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Coastal Karnataka.

Light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells was recorded over Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep and parts of Marathwada and Rajasthan.

Light to moderate rain activity occurred over Northeast India, West Bengal, the Western Himalayas, Delhi, Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Light rain with one or two moderate spells was observed over East Odisha, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh.
