The Low-Pressure Area which is over Odisha and Jharkhand and is now likely to move westwards and a north-south trough are expected to form during the next 24 hours across Maharashtra. The Monsoon current has already covered some more parts of Maharashtra covering Ratnagiri, Satara, Solapur and then towards the eastern parts of the country.
Also, the present situation is favourable to cover some more parts of Vidarbha but it will take some more time to reach Mumbai.
In the past 24 hours, we have seen good rains along South Konkan, South Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and isolated parts of Vidarbha. As the system is approaching towards West, good rains are expected over Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Madhya Maharashtra. Cities like Nagpur, Akola, Aurangabad, Ahmadnagar, Pune are expected to receive good rains during the next 24 hours.
The isolated heavy spells are also possible in some parts which are likely to be associated with strong winds. The coastal stations like Ratnagiri, Harnoi are expected to receive moderate spells during the next 24 hours. The experts have to say that activity is likely to enhance over the coast June 27 onward especially towards the North.
A Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form in the lower levels over the Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Gujarat, thus we can expect few spells of light rain with isolated moderate spells over East Gujarat and South Coastal Gujarat.

Few spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower with gusty winds are likely to affect at some places of Ahmadnagar, Akola, Amravati, Aurangabad, Bhandara, Bid, Buldana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondiya, Hingoli, Jalna, Kolhapur, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Pune, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Solapur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal during next six to eight hours.
