Rain in Punjab and Haryana have made their appearance and have been lashing the states in the past couple of days. In fact, during the last 24 hours, scattered rains have occurred over many parts of Punjab.
In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Tuesday, Narnaul recorded heavy showers of 47 mm, Ambala 19 mm and Ludhiana 13 mm
Today also, moderate rains with one or two short intense spells are expected in a few pockets. Moreover, rain activities will be more over Haryana and North Punjab as compared to the southern parts of the state.
Tomorrow, these rain activities will witness a reduction. Thus, on August 15 and 16, only isolated rainfall activities will be seen in just a couple of pockets.
Meanwhile, rains will once again pick up pace around August 17 and 18. On August 17, rain activities will be more intense over the state of Haryana in comparison to Punjab as the Cyclonic Circulation will be over South Haryana and adjoining Delhi NCR.
Punjab will also see scattered light to moderate rains during this time. On August 19, rains will take a backseat over Haryana. Punjab may, however, see some rains on August 19 as well.
