During the last 24 hours, mostly dry weather has prevailed over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh region. However, southern parts of Chhattisgarh have received light rain and thundershower at isolated places due to the presence of an upper air trough.
Presently, northwesterly winds are blowing over most parts of Central India, hence we expect, dry weather to continue until February 20. Moreover, during daytime, bright sunshine will take over the entire region which will help major crops such as Rice, Wheat, Maize and Pulses to grow and nurture at a faster pace.
This weather pattern will undergo a change and rain as well as thundershower will commence over Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and pockets of Chhattisgarh February 20 onward.
According to Skymet Weather, day temperatures will gradually increase in Central India, while night minimums will decrease over Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh in next 24 hours. Meanwhile, with the upper air trough persisting, the southern most parts of Chhattisgarh will continue experiencing light rain and thundershower at isolated places for next 24 hours.
