The month of April has been miraculous for Bengaluru as the capital city of Karnataka has been recording on and off rain and thundershowers for the past many days. This is the reason as to why the temperatures of the city have also remained under check, close to 35 degrees Celsius.
Apart from Bengaluru, many other stations in Karnataka have also been witnessing occasional showers for the past many days.
As per Skymet Weather, a wind discontinuity is seen extending from Telangana to Interior Tamil Nadu across South Interior Karnataka. During this time, north-south trough or wind discontinuity is a semi-permanent feature, due to which on and off rain and thundershowers usually continue to occur over many parts of Karnataka, particularly, over the interior regions of the state.

In the interior parts also, the frequency of these rains normally remains more over South Interior Karnataka. This is the reason Bengaluru has been able to record light rains occasionally.
