Mumbai Rains

After heavy Mumbai rains continuously lashing the city, a red alert has been issued in Mumbai and its adjoining areas of Thane, Palghar, Raigad for the next 24 hours. So much so that the NDRF teams have also been deployed in the city. Moreover, a team of NDRF has been deployed to Kurla as the water levels of the Mithi rivers continue to be on a rise.

Heavy rains have not only paralysed the city but even Navi Mumbai has been witnessing massive water logging with no relief likely in sight.

Mumbai rains continue to be on the higher side and rainfall has been non stop lashing with no signs of stoppage. Flights on an average are delayed by at least 25 minutes.

Talking about the local train situation, Central Railway has declared that train services between Kurla and Chunabhatti are shut owing to heavy rainfall and flooding. All six trains between Vikhroli-Kanjurmarg have been suspended due to heavy rains and water logging.

In the Western Railways side, train services between Matunga and Sion have been held up, while trains between Virar and Vasai Road are running with lesser frequency.

Mumbai rains will remain on the higher side with the city witnessing more hefty showers today. Moreover, rainfall activity will continue tomorrow as well. While rainfall activity will be slightly lesser than today, three digit rains cannot be ruled out tomorrow as well.
