Rains have begun to lash Hyderabad and Skymet Weather predicts these rains are going to be of moderate to heavy intensity. In fact, cloud cover has also increased thereby making the sky cloudy and weather pleasant.
In fact, moderate to heavy rains have been occurring in Hyderabad from the last 2 days. The last 24 hours also brought a bunch of good showers for the city wherein the capital of the youngest state recorded good rains to the tune of 24 mm.
Meanwhile, rest of the places of the state such as Ramagundam 15 mm, Nalgonda 7 mm, and Khammam 1 mm. In fact, on and off light rains have been occurring over the city since the week began. These rains have transformed the weather conditions of the city of Nizams comfortable for the inhabitants.
At present also, Hyderabad is witnessing light rain, which is likely to intensify to moderate intensity showers and may continue for another 2-3 hours. Moreover, rain and thundershower with moderate lightning are likely at some places over Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Rangareddi, and Warangal the districts of Telangana today.

As per Skymet Weather, these rains are due to the cyclonic circulation which is over Telangana. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation is also seen over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
However, now, these two weather systems have merged together and thus on and off light to moderate rains are expected to continue in Hyderabad for at least the next 2 days. Rest of the parts of Telangana will also record good showers during the next 24 hours.

Thereafter, though the rain intensity will reduce, on and off light rains will still continue to occur. Temperatures may witness a declining trend. The weather will become pleasant during morning and night hours. However, day will remain warm.
These rains will in turn bring a significant relief from the ongoing warm weather. Talking about the temperatures, the maximums may settle in lower 30’s while the minimums will remain in lower 20’s.
