While the entire country was celebrating the festival of colours Holi, the hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh witnessed good and hefty snowfall. The passing Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir has lashed good amount of snowfall over the region.
The hill station of Mussoorie witnessed snowfall on Holi after 19 years. The last time it snowed on Holi was in 1998. The morning of the auspicious day was greeted with a thick quilt of snow that covered the entire region in white snow. Thanks to the snowfall, people came out of their cozy hotel rooms, to enjoy the beauty of wintry wonderland.
Manali also witnessed good snowfall. Most areas of Manali, Solang Valley even the roads leading to Rohtang Pass were covered in snowfall on Holi. Such snowfall is unlikely over the region during this time of the year but such snowy activity is nevertheless welcomed with open arms. Even Bollywood actor Sunny Deol was in Manali to witness the snowy activity.
