A Cyclonic Circulation over the Gulf of Thailand and neighbourhood is extending up to 5.8 km. Under its influence, a Low-Pressure Area may form over the North Andaman Sea during the next 24 hours. The system is likely to move gradually towards west/ northwestward and is likely to concentrate into a Depression over the east-central Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours.
As per our experts, the system will continue to track west/ northwestward and may reach close to Odisha coast around November 10 as a Deep Depression. Due to this system, Andaman and Nicobar Islands may witness squally weather mainly over the northern parts during the next two to three days.
Due to change in wind direction over eastern parts of India, dry north/northwesterly winds will prevail. Thus, morning temperature will drop marginally, and sunny sky will prevail over Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. It is expected that day temperature may rise marginally but as the system will come closer towards Odisha coast, bad weather may be a possibility with squally winds and rain thundershower activities over the coastal station of West Bengal and Odisha around November 10. If this form then it will be the second system in the Bay of Bengal in the Northeast Monsoon season.
