Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers were recorded over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and parts of Jharkhand during the last 24 hours. Moreover, multiple areas in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar even recorded hailstorm activities. Daltonganj received even heavy hailstorm and pictures from the place started flooding social media.
The reason for these rains was a Trough extending from eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh. Moreover, humid winds were also feeding moisture over Bay of Bengal.
Now, the Trough is shifting towards North, leading to decrease in rain activities over Southeast parts of Uttar Pradesh.
However, scattered light to moderate rains are expected to continue until today evening over Northeast Uttar Pradesh. Scattered rains are likely over many parts of Bihar as well. Isolated rains might affect Jharkhand.
Thereafter, the rain activities will start decreasing tomorrow onward. Weather will start clearing up. This is when the day temperatures will once again start rising once again.
In fact, the weather will become almost clear by tomorrow over entire East India. We do not expect any weather activities until the end of the month over these areas. This might be the last rainy spell of the month.
