The audience who are set to attend the three-day Grand National Racing Festival to be held at Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool, England will have to brace for frequent showers and occasional gusty winds.
The mega event is expected to have around 1,50,000 people from Thursday through Saturday.
On the Grand opening day on Thursday multiple horse races and a host of musical and entertaining performances are expected to take place. People going to the event will have to be prepared for strong winds and frequent showers throughout Thursday. Winds gusting upto 65 kmph will make things feel chilly. While the rain will not be consistent, frequent showers are expected during morning and afternoon hours with extremely cloudy skies.
The weather is expected to improve slightly on Friday for Ladies Day, with spells of sunshine and windy conditions. Although there might be a shower or two during the day, much of the day will remain dry with temperatures rising upto 10°C, but the less windy condition will make it feel milder.
The threat of rain will increase from Friday night into Saturday. The clouding will increase with occasional wind gusts which will make it chilly again on Saturday.
The rainfall this week is expected to amount upto 25 mm, this could affect the racing surface and increase the difficulty of the race.
