A Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area over the central parts of the Arabian Sea is likely to concentrate into a Depression. The system is likely to move initially east-northeastward and then after October 25, it may recurve west-northwestward.

Due to this system, many parts of Maharashtra may receive good spells of showers wherein moderate showers with few heavy spells can be a sight including Pune.

Pune has received very good rain during the month of October. The total amount of rain so far is 211.9 mm against the monthly normal of 77.9 mm which is the third highest in a decade. Also, in the last 24 hours, it has recorded 13 mm of rain.

Moderate spells of rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy will continue over Pune for the coming three to four days. Due to thick clouding and precipitation, the day temperature will remain below normal during the coming days.

Due to the consecutive formation of systems over the Arabian Sea, Maharashtra has been witnessing good rains mainly along the Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan region. Pune is also receiving a good amount of rain.

In 2018 as well, Pune received surplus rains and recorded 360 mm of rain in the month of October. Even in 2010, Pune recorded 263.5 mm of rainfall.

It is expected that the continuous rains in Pune may surpass the figures recorded in the year 2010.
