Himachal Pradesh has been witnessing good rainfall from last couple of days. During the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Sundernagar has recorded whopping rains of 122 mm. These moderate rainfall has been prevalent over the district since June 5.
As per Skymet Weather, the average monthly rainfall of the city for the month of June is 197.9 mm. So far, the district has already recorded showers of 193.3 mm. Hence, it can be concluded that Sundernagar is almost on the verge of surpassing its monthly average rainfall.
Other parts of Himachal Pradesh have been also continuously receiving showers. Solan recorded 41.5 mm of rain, Manali 38.4 mm, Shimla 28.7 mm, and Bilaspur, Kullu and Dharamsala witnessed moderate rainy spells of 16 mm, 18.2 mm and 14.4 mm showers, respectively.
For the next 3 to 4 days, continuous moderate to heavy rains are in chart for Himachal Pradesh. With a gap of 2 to 3 days, rains are expected to pick up pace again covering entire foothills of Himalayas including Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
This year on and off rainy spells are predicted during the entire month leaving the weather pleasant in Himachal Pradesh.
