Since the last few days, dry weather has been continuing over the entire northwestern plains of the country.

In wake of the active Western Disturbance that has affected Northwest India on December 11 and 12 the dry and cold northwesterly air mass has formed over the region thereby resulting in dry and cold weather over the entire region.

At present, no active Western Disturbance is present in higher latitudes I.e over Jammu & Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh. Hence, dry weather with mainly sunny sky is prevailing over the region.

Moreover, in the presence of dry and cold air mass, the minimums temperatures are expected to decrease gradually in the coming days.

Further, the sky conditions will remain mainly clear during most time of the day. Meanwhile, surface wind will start blowing in north/northwesterly directions . Hence, minimum temperatures are expected to decrease further marginally over the northwestern plains of the country.

Particularly, places like Churu, Pilani, Mahendragarh, Narnaul as well as Sikar would settle their minimums around 2℃-3℃ in the coming days.

During the last 24 hours too, Churu in Rajasthan, being the coldest city in the plains has recorded minimums around 2.1℃.

During the next two to three days, sunny sky will prevail with maximum temperatures settling around 20℃-21℃.

Further, no major change is expected in temperatures and these weather conditions will continue.
