The North Indian plains have seen the most brutal wintry conditions in January. However, now, it seems likely that winter has now come to a receding note.

For the next ten days, no weather activity is expected for the plains. While minimums are not rapidly rising, at the same time, there is hardly a station which has a minimum below 5 degrees.

Generally, the changeover is indicated by winds becoming strong, no clouding, thus a fair amount of sunshine and visibility improves with no fog. These are signs of a changeover of weather conditions, which suggests that winters will be on a receding note now.

Minimums will now be closer to double digits, and fog will not be making an appearance now. In a nutshell, the chilly winters that were the main event for most of January seem to be receding now and the changeover period is right ahead of us.
