The northern plains of the country have been witnessing cool winds these days due to the presence of cool northwesterly winds coming from the snow-clad mountains. These cool winds are slipping into the northwestern plains as well. Due to this, Rajasthan has been witnessing drop in temperature in many parts as well.

As per Skymet Weather, minimum temperatures for most of Rajasthan are below normal. Some places have gone below normal by 4-5 degrees and some have even gone below 6 degrees-Celsius.

Minimum temperatures for most of Rajasthan is below normal. Some places have been experiencing temperatures below normal by 4-5 degree-Celsius. Furthermore, in coming 2-3 days drop in mercury is expected by 1-2 degree-Celsius.

Thereafter, when Western Disturbance would approach; the effect of northwesterly winds would go down and temperatures will once again rise. Particularly, the minimum temperatures are expected to witness a rise once again. However, nip in the air will still be evident. Diurnal variation is expected to remain high, i.e. the difference between maximums and minimums will be once again high.

It is said that possibly after one week, the maximum temperatures will also start falling. Since there is already a fall in minimum temperatures, we can say that winters have already set in many parts of Rajasthan and particularly the mornings and nights are cold. Day temperatures are still near normal and days are warm and sunny.

However, we don’t expect any major weather activity affecting Rajasthan in the coming days.
