The weather of Delhi is portraying its different shades everyday. Not only pollution is the talk of the town, but now winters are also making their presence felt.

Both day and night temperatures of Delhi have dropped during the last 24 hours. This fall in temperatures was exactly the same as it was anticipated by weathermen at Skymet Weather.

Since past few days, minimums were above normal by 2℃-3℃. This was due to the continues flow of easterly winds which were warm and humid in nature.

However, since last afternoon, winds have changed their directions and now are blowing northwest direction. These cold winds are originating from snow clad mountains of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Himachal Pradesh, leading to drop in temperatures around Delhi- NCR.

Further, we expect a significant drop in minimums by 2℃-3℃ during the next 48 hours.

The night temperatures which are at present marginally above normal will go gradually below the mark, making mornings and nights cool.

At present, the speed of winds have also increased around 18-20 km/hr. This is also considered as an ideal speed to reduce pollution.

Further, we expect these northwesterly winds to maintain their speed and not letting pollution make a comeback for at least next two days.

In the coming time, another Western Disturbance is expected to approach around November 18. As a result, winds will lose their strength. However, pollution will not increase immediately.
