There must be only a few days left until the spring begins, however winter still continues to freeze life in the United States. A recent alert has been issued against a winter storm Taylor that is forecast to affect many parts of US this weekend.
The authorities are calling this storm ‘significant’ which is going to bring snow and gusty winds from West to Northeast, affecting parts of the Plains and Midwest including parts of California, with potential blizzard conditions in the northern Plains.
A significant storm system will bring the potential for heavy snow and hazardous travel from the Plains to the Great Lakes and Midwest over the weekend. On the warm side of the system, severe thunderstorms will be possible from the Mississippi River Valley to the Gulf Coast.

Major roads might see some blockage and people are being advised not to travel because of the hazard. Also, severe thunderstorms are a possibility from Mississippi Valley to the Gulf Coast.
This year the month of February has been one of the coldest in decades for the country.
