Gujarat continues to be the warmest pocket in the country. Maximum temperatures are still hovering in the mid-thirties at many places, while minimums are recording close to 20°C.
However, there are indications of winter slowly entering Gujarat. The wind pattern in the state has changed to cold northeasterlies and average humidity has dropped to 40%.
Temperatures in the interior parts of the state have started to decrease. The average minimums are recording close to 16°C, while maximums have drop by 1-2 degrees. Ahmedabad recorded 33.2°C as the maximum on Thursday, while Baroda and Deesa saw maximums settle at 33.2°C and 33.8°C, respectively.
These temperatures are 2-3 degrees below the maximums recorded along the coast. On Thursday, Naliya along the coast saw maximum settle at 35.8°C. Porbandar and Bhuj recorded 35.3°C and 36.6°C as the maximum, respectively.
The maximum temperatures along the coast are going to remain in the same range for the next one week, after which there will be a gradual drop in maximums. Skies will be clear and no weather activity will be observed.
However, the interior parts will witness a drop in the day temperatures.
