A western disturbance and its induced circulation are likely to result in winter rains over Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Contiguous parts of these states will have light rain and showers over the next two days. The spread of rainfall will be more on account of induced circulation and little because of western disturbance, on the first day. Over the mountains, the weather activity will start tomorrow and continue for the next 3-4 days. Weather activity will cease in the plains before the weekend.
Western parts of Haryana, Delhi, Northeast Rajasthan, Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Southwest Uttar Pradesh will have rain and showers on the first day, 15th Jan 2025. On 16th January, the weather activity will vacate Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Even, Haryana also will have isolated activity on 16th Jan. West and Central parts of Uttar Pradesh will have scattered rains on 16th Jan. Ayodhya and Prayagraj are expected to have light rains on the second day only.
Broad clearance in the weather activity can be expected over the plains from 17th Jan onward. However, the ‘break’ is going to be short and sweet. Another system is approaching and all these parts will have another round of winter rains, at the start of next week. This time, even parts of Punjab, the whole of Haryana and the entire West Uttar Pradesh will get covered. The spread and intensity will be much stronger than the current spell. The next spell will last between 20th and 23rd January 2025.
