Winter rain likely over West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana including the capital city Delhi

Punjab, Haryana, and  North Rajasthan in the northwest plains observed light rainfall activities in a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday.

A Western Disturbance is moving across East Jammu and Kashmir and a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Haryana and in the adjoining parts of Rajasthan. Along with this, another Cyclonic Circulation is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.

Due to the presence of these significant weather systems, light rainfall activities are observed over Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh and in the other areas. With this, high and medium clouds prevailed over many parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, and Haryana.

At present, as Western Disturbance is moving away, the clouding is expected to clear off by tomorrow and we expect mainly clear sky over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh.

Today we expect light rainfall activities at few places which might be seen in parts of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Rupnagar, Chandigarh, and Panchkula. By tomorrow we expect the pollution level to improve as the northwesterly winds would blow and are expected to pick up pace even more pace during daytime. The overall Air pollution level would maintain in moderate to poor category during the next 24 to 48 hours. The night temperatures are likely to rise marginally over the areas of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana and only dry weather conditions will prevail over these areas.

According to Skymet Weather, we expect light rain with thundershower are most parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi as another Western Disturbance is approaching which is likely to affect these areas by November 26 and November 27.

The night of November 25 may get light activity in the northern parts of Haryana and Rajasthan.
