November 13, 2018 5:19 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Temperatures of Northwest India have increased by four to five degrees during the last few days. The increase has mostly been seen in the minimum temperatures as compared to the maximums.

This increase in the temperatures have been continuing since November 8. Now, no change in temperatures is expected in the coming days as a Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and is expected to give widespread rain and snow over the hills of North India until tomorrow.

Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Rajasthan. Due to the presence of this system, winds are southeasterly in nature over most parts of the Northwestern Plains which are not allowing the minimum temperatures to observe a drop.

On the other hand, scattered light rainfall was observed over parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and NCR region. Now, weather is expected to improve and will clear up by tomorrow.

By November 15, the Western Disturbance will move away, and icy cold winds will once again commence over the northwestern plains of the country including Delhi and the NCR region.

Not only this, Delhi and the NCR region will see decrease in pollution levels as well. Moreover, northwestern parts of the country will see a drop in both minimum and maximum temperatures by three to four degrees Celsius.

Some parts may see minimum temperatures dropping by 4-5 degrees Celsius as well between November 18 and 20.
