Seasons have a powerful potency in our lives. The shift from one season to the other, affect our daily lives, the food we crave for and the clothes we wear. As has been reiterated by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, winter is receding from the northern plains. Yes, one can feel the change of season in the air. This is the time when one could see flowers in full bloom at the Mughal garden of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After the phase of cold winter days, finally the colourful days of spring are on their way.
The spell of winter is finally bidding adieu and according to the latest weather update, in the coming week the day temperature might peak at 30°C. Maximums have been constantly rising, increasing from 26.1°C on Tuesday to 27°C, the next day. A bright and sunny sky will keep the day temperature around 27°C today as well. The short spell of rain last evening brought down the minimum temperature from 14.5°C recorded on Wednesday morning to 11.6°C, today morning.
Weather in North India
After isolated light rain in the foothills of North India, rain will take a backseat and commence only after the 10th of March. Day and night temperatures are on the rise across the northern plains. The maximums are hovering around 25°C while, minimums are in low teens. The maximum and minimum in Ambala are at 25.8°C and 14.4°C, respectively. Similarly, the day temperatures in Patiala and Hisar are at 26°C and 27°C, respectively.
According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the current weather in Delhi and the rest of North India will sustain until a fresh Western Disturbance starts affecting weather from 10th evening onwards. The Western Disturbance is expected to bring rain and snow over the hills of Jammu & Kashmir. Some light rain is likely in the plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi/NCR which will reduce as we move towards east Uttar Pradesh and Central India.
