The state of Rajasthan has been reeling under dry and hot weather conditions for quite some time now. In fact, heat wave conditions have covered most parts of the state, while the northwestern areas are continuously dealing with severe heat wave like conditions. Mercury is in no mood to settle below 47 degree mark.
The reason for such conditions can be attributed to the presence of dry and hot north-westerlies and these are expected to continue for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Thereafter, with some major weather systems developing, the state of Rajasthan would observe a change in its weather conditions.
According to Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance can be seen approaching North Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir. This system has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over the central parts of Pakistan. Both these systems are moving in east/northeast directions. Thus, winds will change and start blowing as south-westerlies. Moreover, due to the presence of moderate breeze, dust raising winds will commence over the state.
The eastern parts of the state will witness partly cloudy sky during afternoon or evening hours. Moreover, isolated places may experience dust storm.
Further, by June 11, the intensity of dust storm along with thundershowers and light rains would increase and cover northern parts of the state as well. These activities will bring down the soaring temperatures and a slight relief is expected from heat wave conditions.
Places like Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Sikar, Churu, Alwar and Pilani will be the lucky ones to see these thundershowers.
