Western Disturbance to give more rain and snow over the hills, rains over plains, reduction soon

The last few days have seen a series of Western Disturbances affecting the mountains across the hilly states including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Uttarakhand. Rain and snow has been more so for Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

These rain and snow activities are expected to continue for a day or two and then there is likely to be a reduction in these activities around day after tomorrow over the hills.

The weather system has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over the plains due to which the plains are receiving rains and snow.

Plains will receive rains today including Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi and northern parts of Rajasthan etc. Cities of Pathankot, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Chandigarh, Ambala, Karnal may see some showers mostly in the evening hours. Rains will find clearance after November 10.

The frequent movement of Western Disturbances has kept minimums under check. Temperatures are above normal at this point. Delhi has been at 17 degrees for many days now and drop is likely over Northwest India in a couple of days during the passage of the system.

Winds will pick up tomorrow, plains will see an ease in rains and minimums may start seeing a drop of 2-3 degrees after November 11.
