Western disturbance is approaching western Himalayas late on 01st Dec. However, the weather system will be rather shallow and weak and therefore affect only the higher reaches of mountains of North India. Low and mid reaches will witness partly cloudy sky and the plains will have marginal change of wind pattern.
Western disturbance, mainly as an upper air circulation, will influence weather conditions over the highly elevated areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 02nd and 03rd December. Rain and snow is expected over Kargil, Skardu, Gilgit, Keylong, Lahaul-Spiti, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib. Other popular destinations like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Srinagar, Shimla, Manali , Chamoli and Uttarkashi will observe partly cloudy sky and bleak chance of any precipitation.
Foothills and plains of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi will witness mostly sunny day with layer of mist and shallow fog at few places, during morning hours. Surface and low level winds are likely to become light and variable on 01st and 02nd Dec and resume normal, thereafter. Further fall of minimum temperature will be arrested and may marginally rise on 01st and 02nd Dec. Mercury is expected to slide once again, after the passage of western disturbance, on 03rd Dec and later.
