If you have been planning a trip to Tirupati lately, now is the time to get going. Weather conditions over the region are more than welcoming during this time of the year.
Over the last few days, minimum temperature over Telangana and Rayalaseema dropped continuously due to incoming northerly winds from North and Central India. As a result, conditions over the region have remained largely cold.
However, mainly easterly anti-cyclonic winds continue to bring moisture over the region. This sea-fed moisture is likely to cause the minimums in this part of the country to rise again. Minimums are now expected to settle close to the normal.
Usually, weather in Tirupati during January is quite comfortable. In fact, winter is deemed to be the best time to visit the holy place, speaking weather-wise. Easterly waves may bring a few spells of rain over the region but normal temperature during this month settles around 29°C (maximum) and 19°C (minimum).
Early hours of the day usually witness foggy conditions, but as the day progresses, the weather clears up giving way to sunny skies. A light sea breeze blowing over the region brings comfort for the locals as well as the tourists. At night, conditions turn a little cooler, and starry nights prevail for most part of the month.
Simply speaking, if faith really is calling, then it’s time to pack your bags. The famous Sri Venkateshwara Temple is visited by millions annually. In addition to this, the lush green surroundings make for a memorable outing. Usually, pleasant conditions prevail till mid-March, before the scorching summer heat takes over.
