The month of March was extremely wet for the national capital. Monthly rainfall was far above the normal and the day temperature also remained quite cool staying 3-4 degrees below the average. April has started on a bright and sunny note and the daily maximum may rise to 33 degrees today after a gap of one week.
Delhi and neighborhood is likely to stay clear of any significant weather activity for the next seven days, which is up to April 8. On April 6th few thunder clouds may develop towards evening to break the long spell of dry weather.
In the absence of any significant weather, the day temperature is likely to rise, possibly reaching close to 35 degrees first time during this season. Days are going to windy and likely to kick up some dust. Morning and evening will continue to be pleasant with minimum temperature hovering around 18 degrees or so.
We still await the heat of Pre Monsoon season which normally tightens its grip around this time. Last year the day temperatures remained in the high thirties in the first half and exceeded 40 degrees all through the last week. The highest maximum ticked 43.7 degrees on the last day April 30.
