Weather update and forecast for November 23 across India

The weather system over the country:

A Cyclonic circulation is over the Comorin area.

A Cyclonic Circulation is over the central parts of Pakistan.

Another Cyclonic Circulation is over the East Bangladesh.

Under the influence of a Cyclonic Circulation over the equatorial Indian Ocean near the Sumatra coast and adjoining the south Andaman Sea, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours by November 23rd. Thereafter it is expected to move in a West-Northwest direction and intensify into a depression over the Central parts of the south Bay of Bengal by November 25th.

Weather Activity in the last 24 hours:

During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells occurred over South Tamil Nadu.

Light to moderate rain occurred over Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Manipur.

Light rain occurred over Assam and Kerala.

Shallow fog was observed over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Weather Activity in the next 24 hours:

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with a few heavy spells is possible over Andaman &  Nicobar Islands and Tamilnadu.

Light to moderate rain is possible over Lakshadweep and Kerala.

Light rain is possible over Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Light rain and snowfall may occur over the upper reaches of the western Himalayas.

Shallow fog will continue over the plains of north and east India.

The Air quality index will remain in the 'very poor' category over Delhi and NCR.
