The residents are experiencing, uncomfortable weather due to the increased humidity levels along with high day temperatures. However, we expect isolated thunderstorm activity with light rain over the coastal districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.

Thereafter, the weather would turn completely dry. As these activities would be very patchy and localized in nature, no relief is foreseen from the ongoing hot and uneasy weather over the state.

In fact, the weather has been dry since past two days over the adjoining state of Andhra Pradesh. The temperatures over the coastal districts are settling in mid to higher 30s. Meanwhile, the temperatures in the interior parts are touching 40°C.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry until April 22. However, the possibility of isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Thereafter, we expect scattered rain and thunderstorm activity to commence over the coastal districts on April 23.

These on and off pre Monsoon activities are expected to continue until April 26. However, these will be patchy in nature and would last for a short duration only. Therefore, they will not have much impact on the ongoing weather.
