Weather to remain dry and warm in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan

Delhi warm weather

The entire northwestern plains of India have been experiencing dry and warm weather since last many days. Likewise, Delhi and National Capital Region have also been facing the similar weather conditions over more than two weeks. In fact, the day temperatures are soaring around 35-36 degrees Celsius. However, nights have bought some respite from these prevailing warm and dry weather conditions.

In addition to this, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan have also not seen any significant good rainfall activity during the post Monsoon season, which has resulted in increase in mercury. Although, a few spells of light to moderate rains did make an appearance over these regions during the end days of September.

However, we are now expecting some change in the weather conditions. As per weathermen, the northwesterly winds which were prevailing are now replaced by humid southeasterly winds.

This change is due to the result of a deep depression, which is seen over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Bay of Bengal. Therefore, humid winds will continue to blow over the entire northwestern plains of India for the next two to three days. Due to this, haze is likely to be witnessed by the residents of Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad during the morning hours.

Due to clear and bright sunshine during afternoon, the weather over entire Northwest India will continue to remain dry and warm for the similar time period. After three to four days, the depression is likely to weaken and thus, dry northwesterly winds will once again blow over these regions.

Therefore, the afternoons will be warm and sunny but the mornings and night are likely to remain comparatively cool and comfortable.

In the meantime, the morning temperatures are expected to fall further in many parts of Haryana and Punjab as well as over North Rajasthan in the coming few days. With this, the nights are expected to remain cooler while the afternoons are likely to remain sunny.

Further, the minimum temperatures will continue to settle around 20 degrees Celsius mark, whereas, the day temperatures are further likely to rise. Thus, no major changes are anticipated over the entire northwestern plains of India.
