Weather systems bring good rains over Interior Peninsula

Rain in HyderabadAt present two cyclonic circulations are prevailing on either side of Peninsular India. Besides lashing their respective regions, the close proximity of the systems have also been giving good showers over Interior Peninsular India.

North Interior Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana and even parts of Maharashtra have recorded fairly widespread light to moderate showers during last 24 hours.

Following are the rainfall figures recorded across the above mentioned region in span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday.

One cyclonic circulation is marked over Arabian Sea off the Coastal Karnataka and Kerala, giving moderate to heavy showers over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Konkan & Goa region.

While another one is prevailing over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and South Odisha, affecting Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

According to Skymet Weather, the interior Peninsular India is now in the overlapping zone due the presence of these two systems.

Weathermen predict that both the systems will continue to sustain strength for next 24 hours and thus, fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are likely to lash the region for at least next 48 hours. Isolated parts of Tamil Nadu also stands chance of isolated light rain.

Moreover, rains over Maharashtra and Telangana will also bring relief from the heatwave conditions, which have made a comeback over both the states since last two days.
