A Cyclonic Circulation which entered Bay of Bengal yesterday, from coastal parts of Myanmar and Bangladesh has now moved inland.  It is marked over tri junction of Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh and is extending up to medium levels in the atmosphere.

It is likely to persist over this region, with minor north-south oscillation, for the next 3 days. Thereafter, the weather system will shift over Madhya Pradesh and finally recurve towards Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon trough will also follow the system and is expected to shift north of normal position, close to the foothills, by fag end of the month.

Weather activity will be confined to North Chhattisgarh, West Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar, Southeast Uttar Pradesh and Northeast Madhya Pradesh for the next 48 hours. Scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over these parts during this period.

Subsequently, as the weather system moves over Central Madhya Pradesh, the spread and intensity of weather will increase and cover East and Central Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The peripheral of the system will reach East Vidarbha, West Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar and Southeast Uttar Pradesh. Later, the monsoon system will influence weather activity over West and North Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan.

This weather system will remain weak, throughout. Intensity of weather will mostly remain moderate. Only isolated places may receive heavy rainfall and that too for short duration as compared to the previous system which caused deluge over Madhya Pradesh, this feature will not be harsh enough to disrupt normal activities.

The rainfall belt will move with the system and finally expected to shift over Indo Gangetic plains. The monsoon trough will take a northerly position, parallel to the foothills. There are no indications, as of now, for any further system developing over Bay of Bengal.
