A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over South Jharkhand and adjoining areas due to which on and off rainfall and thundershower activities are expected to continue over Odisha for the next few days. Some areas may see heavy spell of rains as well.

Rainfall will continue for another week or so, and north coastal Odisha will be the region with most amount of rains. Southern parts of Odisha will see isolated rainfall activity. Thus, rainfall statistics may be on the excess for the first week of June.

Temperatures will remain below the 40 degree mark over most places with only isolated pockets of Odisha will see higher temperatures. These rainfall activities will result in the reduction of temperatures over most parts of the state wherein temperatures were running on the higher side.
