The city of Mumbai has been seeing pleasant weather conditions through the night for at least a fortnight. Moreover, the day temperatures have also been on the pleasant side settling in the lower 30s and at times even in the late 20s zone.
Usually, the month of February sees warmer conditions during the day time and continues to remain on the rising trend through March. However, rainfall activity remains on the backseat and the city of dreams continues with its dry weather trend.
However, during the last three days, temperatures have risen to go beyond normal. This morning, the minimum was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, while yesterday it had settled at 19.6 degrees.
Talking about the maximums, it settled at 33.7 degrees Celsius, while day before yesterday, it was recorded at 33.3 degrees.
As mentioned, minimum temperatures are inching towards 20 degrees and maximums will settle between 32 and 34 degrees. Evenings, on the other hand will see better weather conditions. Reason for these conditions can be attributed to North India seeing a prolonged spell of weather due to which, winds have changed direction, thereby increasing temperatures over Mumbai.
Mumbai is dominated during the morning hours by land breeze which last till 12.30 am. After 1:00 pm, sea breeze sets in which becomes stronger during the evening hours, resulting in pleasant evenings. Next fortnight, good weather conditions are expected with slight increase in minimums.
Previously, the city of Mumbai had seen lower temperatures with minimums settling in the low teens. In fact, it had dropped down to a mere 12.4 degrees on December 27. In fact, last few days of December saw below normal temperatures due to Cold Wave conditions in North India.
