Weather in Delhi to remain pleasant

Easterly winds could increase the night temperatures in Delhi in next two days. A Western Disturbance (WD) is about to appear over north India in Jammu & Kashmir which will cut off the northerly winds from the Himalayas and take the easterly winds to north India during its stay.

Rise of another 1 to 2 degrees is expected in night temperatures in Delhi in next two days as the weather in Delhi will become partly cloudy owing to WD. However, it would lead to marginal drop in day temperature. Overall the pleasant weather in Delhi will continue to persist.

Night temperatures in north India over Punjab have been in excess of 4 degrees in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The temperature is expected to maintain till the passage of the Western Disturbance.

The weather system will also give some rain in Srinagar and snow in the higher reaches of the Himalayas. This will certainly affect the night temperatures once the weather system leaves the region.

Temperatures in central India will also fluctuate. Night temperature may rise marginally due to easterly winds. But day temperature may witness a fall. East India will also experience easterly winds due to which night temperatures is expected to rise in the next two days.

Rain could also occur at isolated places in northeast region.
