As per Skymet Weather, at present dry winds from the northwest direction are blowing over Delhi and adjoining regions of Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad. Therefore, dry and hot weather will continue to prevail over Delhi and NCR for the next two to three days.
We anticipate some isolated light rain, thundershower or dust storm to occur over Delhi and adjoining regions of Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad around June 22. However, these activities will be in one or two pockets only.
Thus, it will not have much impact on the prevailing scorching hot weather. Weathermen anticipate that pre-Monsoon activities will once again commence over the capital, Delhi around June 26. These rains would be due to a trough which is expected to form over the Indo Gangetic plains North of Delhi.
These on and off pre-Monsoon rain in Delhi and NCR are expected to continue until the onset of Monsoon which will be by June end.
As on June 18, the day maximum temperature at Palam observatory settled at 38.4°C and minimum the minimum temperature settled at 26.1°C. With the flow of dry and hot winds, the maximum temperature has increased by almost 2°C with Palam recording at 40°C.
We anticipated both the maximum and minimum temperatures to rise gradually. In the coming days, the maximum temperature will cross 40°C and the minimums temperatures will settle between 27°C and 28°C.
