Weather in Delhi-NCR has taken a u-turn as the hot Saturday afternoon changed into a pleasant and windy afternoon. At present, clouds have engulfed entire national capital and rain and thundershowers are likely to begin anytime soon.
However, intensity of pre-Monsoon rains will be light only and few places may have to settle with thunderstorm only. Nearby areas of Faridabad, Gurgaon and Noida could also see some activity.

According to Skymet Weather, a Western Disturbance is affecting Jammu and Kashmir which has induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana region.
As a result, humid winds have been blowing over the northwestern plains. Besides this, day temperatures have been settling in higher 30s. Due to this, convective clouds have formed over the region including Delhi-NCR.
In wake of this, the day temperatures which had reached 39°C, have now witnessed a steep drop and are hovering around 35C. We expect mercury to drop even further.

These change in weather conditions have ushered in major relief from the hot and humid weather. However, this will be a momentary relief and weather is likely to clear up by tomorrow. Maximum temperatures will start rising once again on Sunday, paving way for hot day. But due to presence of moisture in atmosphere, we can rule out the possibility of isolated rain or thunderstorm tomorrow as well.
