Rain, thundershowers, strong winds to lash Hyderabad, Vizianagaram and Kalingapattinam

Hot and dry weather conditions have been prevailing over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh since the last three to fours days. The reason being, presence of an upper air Trough, which is extending from Chhattisgarh up to Karnataka across Telangana. In addition to this Trough, warm and moist winds from Bay of Bengal are continuously blowing over the states. Due to increase in moisture level and high temperatures, the northern parts of Telangana are experiencing heat-stroke like conditions.

According to Skymet Weather, the above Trough would gain strength now and result in rain and thundershower activities, along with strong winds at some places of these states during the next 48 hours. Places like Vizianagaram, Kalingapattinam, West Godavari, East Godavari, Khammam, Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar may experience short spells of rain and thundershowers until April 2.

Thereafter, the trough will lose its strength and rain and thundershower activities will recede from these states. By April 3, the weather will go completely. However, moderate breeze may continue for next few days. Moreover, these rains would be helpful in providing a slight relief from the scorching heat.

Meanwhile, the day temperatures will settle around 39℃ , while the coastal stations will record maximums in the range of 34℃ to 38℃.On the other hand, minimums will hover somewhere around 25℃.
