Weather improves over the hills, time to take a weekend trip

The hills of North India have seen inclement weather conditions for the past few days. So much so that heavy rains, snow in the higher reaches along with landslides and flash floods had thrown life out of gear for most parts of the hills. Moreover, these weather conditions had even resulted in loss of lives and damage over some areas.

These rains had occurred due to the presence of a Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas in combination with the remnant of Cyclone Daye which was in the form of a low pressure area.

Now, the strong Western Disturbance which had wreaked havoc over the region has now moved away. The system has also now diffused. Due to this, better weather conditions are on their way for the hills of North India particularly the rain ravaged areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

There is a Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan region, however, the system will only affect the northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, localized weather activity over the other parts of the hills also cannot be ruled out.

Thus, pleasant weather conditions are on the cards for the entire hilly states of the northern parts of the country. In fact, by the weekend, the recovery and restoration process will be complete which will make it the perfect time to visit the hills of North India.

In fact, wayfarers can make plans for the weekend to the hills and since October 2 happens to be a Tuesday, a Monday office bunk could give them a full four day weekend buzz in one of the popular locales of the Western Himalayas.
