Weather forecast for the week in India 8th -15th April

North & Northwest IndiaA Western Disturbance is expected to arrive from Monday night onwards to affect the north and northwest parts of the country for next two days. After a dry Monday,rainwill start witnessing in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh possibly from Tuesday early morning hours with clouds gaining the sky and winds blow from east and south east.

There will be rain on Tuesday and Wednesday in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and in northwest plains over Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Rain will be at one or two places in the first 24 hours starting from tonight and will increase to a few more places thereafter.Thunder squallsare expected at one or two places during this period in these areas.

It’ssummer in Indianow so north and northwest India will have day temperatures above 35 degrees in almost entire parts except those in the hills. Night temperatures would rise in the next two days but will remain in early twenties in the plains during the week.

East and northeast IndiaEast India will have no rain during the week but the parts close to Himalayan Tarai will have marginal drop in day temperatures as winds speed will be around 20 to 30 kmph during the next two to three days. Rain will occur in northeastern states on Monday and Tuesday as moist southeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal are approaching the region. The weather will become dry thereafter and rain will return here by Friday. Some parts of northeastMadhya Pradesh, southeast Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand could have rain during the first two days of the week.

Central IndiaCentral India has no chance of rain other than at the peninsular areas of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh mid-week as by then northerly winds will collide with moist southerly winds. Day temperatures will also drop by up to 2 degrees in the areas where they had risen to 40 degrees. Nighttemperatureswill rise on Tuesday and Wednesday in these areas to fall thereafter and will maintain the trend till the weekend. This will be hottest parts of the country during the week.

South IndiaRain is expected in interiors of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh at the start of the week as a trough of low pressure area extends from Telangana to south Tamil Nadu. Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Kerala will have rain possibly Wednesday onwards as a cyclonic circulation will form along the east coast near Tamil Nadu.
