Here’s a look at the weather analysis during the entire week in different parts of India.

North India-It will be a week of light patchy rain in the plains of north and northwest India. Rain in Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, east Haryana and east Punjab may increase only towards Friday and Saturday as the western disturbance and the low pressure system which originated in the Bay of Bengal may curve towards east India. In the hills of north India, rain mayhem may continue in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Srinagar and almost entire J&K will have dry weather.

East and Northeast India - Rain in east India will be sparse initially but is expected to increase towards the later part of the week. Very little rain is expected in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand for the next 72hours. Rain may increase from Thursday onwards as the cyclonic circulation will turn from central India to east India. Rain will therefore be moderate, of up to 30mm, in intensity. Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim will also have little rain for 72hours but could receive more rain afterwards. Northeast India however will continue to receive mainly light rain all week expect in some pockets of upper Assam and Imphal where it could be moderate of up to 35mm.

Central India- It will be a rainy weekend for central India. Light to moderate rain will continue in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and at the Vidharbha region. The low pressure system from the Bay of Bengal may even give heavy rain at pockets of west Madhya Pradesh for the next 24 to 48hours. After heavy rains last week, Gujarat will have very little rain this week. Entire central India will be the coolest part of the country this week. Temperatures in Madhya Pradesh will continue to be significantly below normal.

South India- South India could have mainly dry weather all over the interiors and along the east coast. Rain at the east coast, i.e. at Andhra Pradesh will occur only in the next 24 to 36 hours; thereafter the weather will be mainly dry as the cyclonic circulation may move westwards.  Barring the coastal stations and south Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will have little to no rain this week. The western coast is the only part of peninsular India that may receive continuous rain throughout the week. Tuesday, Wednesday will be days of moderate rain along the west coast of India. Mumbai could therefore have rain of up to 20mm tomorrow.
