New year's Eve and the New Year is right around the corner. While the northern parts of the country will see a massive increase in the winter chill, some areas in South India may see some rains.
Starting with the northern parts, Delhi and the NCR region are expected to see biting cold conditions during the night with no rains in sight.
The weather in Mumbai is expected to be pleasant through the day with a very slight nip in the air during late night and early morning hours.
For the city of Kolkata, rains will remain out of sight and maximum temperatures will hover closer to the normal levels, with minimums possibly settling a couple of notches below the normal levels.
Chennai on the other hand is expected to see some rains lashing the city on New Year's eve and the January 2.
Bengaluru is also expected to see some rainfall activity during New year's Eve. However, these rains will not be heavy in nature. Weather will remain pleasant.
The city of Hyderabad may also see very light rainfall activity during the New Year's eve with the city witnessing pleasant weather conditions.
