After witnessing blazing heat, change in weather conditions have brought some relief for the people of Bangalore.
This April has been unusually hot for the city which is famous for its pleasant weather round the year. Day temperatures have been settling above normal by 4-5 degrees on most of the occasions.
On April 24, Bangalore recorded 39.2°C which was record of all time high. Thereafter on April 25 afternoon, moderate thundershowers were recorded over several parts of Bangalore leading to drop in maximum temperatures. The temperature is now around 35°C which is just one degree above normal.
At present, day maximums are settling near normal. Now we expect mainly dry weather conditions during next 3-4 days with day temperatures above normal merely by one or two degrees.
However, isolated thunderstorm activity cannot be ruled out over some pockets of the city on account of wind discontinuity over the region. But chances of any rain are very rare.
Pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers are likely to pick up pace during the first week of May, giving considerable amount of relief from exceptionally high day temperatures. May is likely to perform better than month of April.
