Weather across major cities on 69th Independence Day

Independence dayIndia will be celebrating its 69th Independence Day on August 15, 2015. Every year, scores of people with heart filled of patriotism across the country come out of their respective places to participate in the flag hoisting ceremony to mark the occasion. So, let us have a look at the weather across the major cities of India on the day.

Delhi

Every year, the prime minister of India hoists the national flag at iconic Red Fort early in the morning that draws lakhs of people in Delhi. However this year, Monsoon showers may play a spoil sport. We can expect light rain on Saturday morning which will be followed by humid weather.

Kolkata

Kolkata will witness humid weather conditions with cloudy sky and light winds blowing over the city. But there are very remote chances of rain and thus people can celebrate Independence Day without any hassle.

Chennai

Cloudy weather along with high humidity will prevail over the city but no significant rain is expected over Chennai. With this, we can expect no hindrance in the Independence Day celebrations across the city.

Mumbai

Mumbai will have a cloudy morning with moderate breeze blowing over the coastal city. There are very bleak chances of rain during the first half of the day but Monsoon showers may occur in the later part of the day.

Guwahati

After witnessing some showers during the late night hours, Guwahati is expected to observe cloudy sky in the morning. However, city will not observe any rain during the celebrations.

Srinagar

Srinagar will have cloudy to partly cloudy weather with no chances of rain. Temperatures will also be settling in comfortable range, making apt atmosphere for the Independence Day ceremony.

Chandigarh

Chandigarh will have fairly pleasant morning with humid weather conditions. There are fair chances of light rain during the morning hours which may hamper the celebrations.

Bhopal

Bhopal has been observing good Monsoon rains for last few days and similar weather activity is likely to continue over the city. There is a high probability of rains playing a spoil sport during the Independence Day celebrations.

Bangalore

The city will observe cloudy sky with pleasant weather conditions. Chances of rain are very few and we can expect the celebrations to take place without any interruption.
