Weakening Titli to give heavy rains in Tripura, Mizoram

Northeast India usually sees rainfall activities during the month of October wherein all the districts record good rainfall activities. During the month of October most of the systems which form in the Bay of Bengal have the tendency to recurve and go towards Northeast India.

Due to this, it is mostly the southern parts of Northeast India which includes Tripura and Mizoram with Bear the brunt of maximum rainfall.

The same has been the case this time as well wherein a cyclonic storm called Titli had formed in the Bay of Bengal and good rainfall activity has been seen over many parts of East India including Odisha West Bengal.

Now the system is expected to recover and give rainfall over Bangladesh as well as north eastern parts of the country. By the time it moves towards north east India is it is expected to become a low pressure area but it will be enough to give heavy rainfall over both Tripura and Mizoram today and tomorrow. Weather conditions are expected to clear up after October 14.

In fact, parts of Assam may also see some rainfall activities along with Nagaland and Manipur. On the other hand, the state of Arunachal Pradesh will not be affected.
