Watch out for some more rain in Delhi

April 7, 2015 6:00 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Delhiites woke up to a cloudy sky and light rain on Tuesday morning. Few pockets in the Delhi-NCR region, including Ghaziabad and North Delhi, were lashed by unseasonal rain once again after a break of almost two days. The Safdarjung Observatory also recorded traces of rain today morning.

We can expect another spell of dust storm accompanied by light rain on Tuesday evening. Maximum temperature is not expected to rise above 32°C, which is around 3 degrees below the normal average.

Rain in North India

The cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining areas first brought dust storm and rain in Rajasthan. The weather activity then travelled across Rewari and Rohtak in Haryana to touch Delhi-NCR (being on the periphery of the system) and moved further to affect west Uttar Pradesh.

The weather system will further travel to reach the hills of North India and they stand a chance to receive rain over the next 24-36 hours.

Another weather system will bring rain and dust storm in North India from April 11. We are reaching the season when dust storms become a common phenomenon. Meanwhile, Delhi and parts of Haryana still stand a chance to witness some rain on Tuesday.
